Chiclana is a traditional Andalucian town located south of Cadiz. It is a busy town with a market and lots of shops in the narrow streets of the centre. It is a few kilometres inland and has two small beach resorts, La Barrosa and Novo Sancti Petri which are popular because of the long sandy beaches, water sports activities, golf club and marina.

Novo Sancti Petri is a modern residential and tourist complex, popular with wealthy Spanish families from Madrid and other cities.

The Sancti Petri Golf Course, reputed to have been designed by Seve Ballesteros, has stunning views of the sea. Opposite the town is the small island of Sancti Petri with a lighthouse and a magnificent 18th Century castle.

A small ferry can be taken to visit the island in the summer. On the island is the lighthouse and 18th centry castle which was constructed on the ruins of the temple of zeus built by the phonecians.

Exit "Urb. Novo Sancti Petri" on national road N-VI. 36 hole layout along a stretch of virgin coastline. Mostly parkland with lakes which affect play on twelve holes. Fairly flat, except 4 holes on round B. 2 rounds of 18 holes: round A: yellow tees: 6097 metres, red tees: 5206 metres, round B: yellow tees: 5846 metres, red tees: 5185 metres. Both Par 72. Driving Range of 280 m length for up to 70 players simultaneously, 4 putting/chipping greens. 9 hole pitch & putt course.
