Property on the Costa del Sol - Torremolinos

Torremolinos is the biggest of the Costa del Sol resorts and the most recognised.

The 9km of beach are busy during the summer with temperatures often soaring into the 30oC's & 40oC's (85 to over 100 F). There are plenty of beach front cafés (called Chiringuitos) selling fried fish, snacks and refreshments.

On a hillside, with the Playamar area to one side and Carihuela in the opposite direction. There is a stiff climb back up from the beach to the centrally located hotels and apartments. An interesting relic of old Torremolinos is the village of Carihuela, on the coast between Benalmádena and the centre, which has retained its fishing port atmosphere with seafront restaurants and bars backing onto the beachside path.

Many of Torremolinos Villas and Properties are situated close to the beach with a large number of hypermarkets close by.
When the sun goes down Torremolinos is lively with plenty of restaurants to cater for just about every taste. There are Irish, English, Dutch and German bars. There are also plenty of busy nightclubs which open until dawn.

Calle San Miguel is a pretty little street, lined with small shops and cafés, which is in-keeping with the old Torremolinos, as a small fishing village and on Thursday mornings is the outdoor street market which takes place in the old part of town "El Calvario". There is an aqua park for children and an equestrian centre nearby which provides dressage displays, lessons and pony trekking in the hills.

Out of high season the promenade is only really busy on Sundays with Spanish families going out for lunch and a stroll along the beach front.

There are many properties ranging from affordable apartments to villas and larger Spanish holiday homes along by the sandy beach.
