Mazarrón town is a few km inland with a marine tradition and sea port which forms two towns but one municipal area.

The municipal area of Mazarrón is a multi-area with the contrast of agricultural lands and mountains.

The aridness of the mountains contrasts with the wealth of the sea beds. The variety of its ecosystems and the breathtaking beauty of its landscape make this municipality a unique nature spot in Europe. The sea water purifying system helps agriculture productions with the main produce being tomatoes.

Las Balsicas, which is situated in the southeast of the municipality accommodates the near future touristic places. Los Lorentes, Alamillo, El Mojon, etc.
